For Australian RTOs

You already own the learner guides.
We’ll turn them into real courses.

Send us the Word files you bought years ago. Get back interactive SCORM courses that drop straight into your LMS — in five business days, at a fixed price, with the editable master included so you’re never locked to anyone.

One free sample per RTO. No account, no card, no obligation.

Or look at a finished one first

Your resources are fine. They’re just Word documents.

Most Australian RTOs are sitting on a library of learner guides, workbooks and assessment kits they paid a publisher good money for. They’re compliant, they’re mapped, they’re current. And they are .docx files that a student reads on a screen, or prints.

Meanwhile the Standards for RTOs that took effect on 1 July 2025 expect materials tailored to your learner cohort, kept under clear version control and available in accessible formats — and every student who has ever used Netflix now expects training to behave like software.

Rebuilding that library in-house means an instructional designer, an authoring tool licence and months of work. Buying it again from a publisher means paying twice for content you already own. There is an obvious third option and almost nobody offers it: keep your content, change its format.

Three steps, five days

Step 1

You send the Word files

Whatever you already own — learner guides, workbooks, PowerPoints, PDFs. One unit or a whole qualification. Email them or drop us a shared folder link.

Step 2

We rebuild them as courses

Not a document wrapped in a SCORM shell. Real modules, real blocks, real interactions, built in our own authoring platform and checked by a person before it goes anywhere.

Step 3

You get the package back

SCORM 1.2 for your LMS, standalone HTML if you want it hosted, and the editable master so you're never locked to us. Five business days.

There are cheaper tools. Here’s what they actually give you.

Automated Word-to-SCORM converters exist and some are nearly free. They take your document, wrap it in a SCORM manifest and add a multiple-choice quiz at the end. That is a real thing that works, and if it’s all you need, you should use it.

What you get is a document that reports completion. The learner still scrolls. Nothing asks them to do anything until the quiz. Here’s the difference, plainly:

In the courseAutomated wrapUs
Text and images from your guide
Completion reported to your LMS
Multiple-choice quiz
Content split into real modules and sections
Drag-and-drop matching activities
Flip cards, tabs and accordions
Image hotspots on diagrams and photos
Scenario questions with written feedback
Progression gated on confirmation
Editable master returned to you

We’d rather you compared honestly and chose the cheap option than bought this and felt oversold.

One real job, start to finish

CHCCOM005 Communicate and work in health or community services — a core unit of CHC33021, so you almost certainly teach it. Here is every file, including the working one. We’re not hiding the method.

1 · What you send

The learner guide

An ordinary five-module Word document. Headings, paragraphs, bullet lists, a couple of tables, a plain quiz at the end of each module. This is what your library looks like.

Download the Word file
2 · What we do

The tagged working file

The same words, restructured. Nothing rewritten, nothing added to the teaching content — the tables became tabs, the term lists became matching activities, the procedures became step-throughs.

Download the tagged file
3 · What you get

The finished course

Running, in the browser, on your phone. Click through it — open the accordions, drag the matching activity, get a knowledge check wrong on purpose and read the feedback.

Open the course

Yes, the tagged file gives away exactly how it’s done — and you’re welcome to do it yourself. CourseConverter is the tool that reads that file, and it starts at $29 a month. The service is for teams who’d rather buy the finished thing than learn a new platform.

The price list

Published, because you shouldn’t have to fill in a form to find out whether you can afford something. All prices AUD, per unit of competency, excluding GST.

What we don’t do

Worth being blunt about, because the gap between what a conversion service does and what your registration requires is where RTOs get hurt. We don’t:

  • Map content to elements, performance criteria or knowledge evidence — that's your job and your compliance risk, not ours
  • Write or validate assessment tools
  • Give advice on ASQA compliance, audit readiness or the Standards for RTOs
  • Rewrite your content or check it for accuracy or currency
  • Deliver training, or hold any part of your registration

We change the format. Everything about compliance stays with you, where the regulator expects it to be.

Don’t take our word for it. Send one unit.

Pick any unit of competency in your library. Email us the learner guide. We’ll convert it at the Convert + Interact tier and send back the SCORM package and a preview link within three business days.

Free. One per RTO. No account, no card, no call, no obligation to buy anything afterwards. Load it into your LMS, show it to your trainers, and decide.

Common questions

Who owns the converted course?
You do, completely. It's your content — we're a format converter, not a publisher. You get the SCORM package, the HTML export and the editable master. There's no per-learner fee, no annual licence, no platform you have to stay subscribed to, and no restriction on rebranding it or putting it wherever you like.
How is this different from the cheap Word-to-SCORM tools?
Those wrap your document in a SCORM shell and add an auto-marked quiz. The learner is still scrolling a document — it just reports completion now. We rebuild the content as an actual course: matching activities, flip cards, hotspots, scenario questions, gated progression. If a document with a quiz on the end is genuinely all you need, use the cheap tool and save your money. We'd rather tell you that than sell you something you don't need.
Will it work in our LMS?
If it takes SCORM 1.2, yes. That covers Moodle, Canvas, aXcelerate, Cornerstone, TalentLMS, Docebo, Blackboard and effectively every LMS an Australian RTO uses. If you're on something unusual, send us the name before you order and we'll tell you straight whether it'll work.
Do you map the content to the unit of competency?
No, and you should be wary of anyone who says they will. Mapping and assessment validation sit with your RTO, because your registration is what's at risk if they're wrong. We convert what you give us, faithfully. If your learner guide is already mapped, the mapping comes across with it.
What if our resources are superseded or out of date?
We'll convert them as-is, but we'll tell you if we spot that a unit looks superseded on training.gov.au. Converting content you're about to replace is a waste of your money and we'd rather say so before you pay than after.
Do you keep a copy of our content?
We keep your files while the job is running and for 30 days afterwards in case you need a revision, then they're deleted. We never resell, republish or reuse your content, and we won't use it as a portfolio sample unless you tell us in writing that we can.
What does the five days actually cover?
Five business days from receiving usable source files to delivering the package, for up to 20 units. Bigger batches get a date in writing before you commit. One round of revisions is included and turns around in two business days.
Can we just do this ourselves?
Yes — CourseConverter is a product, and it starts at $29/month. Plenty of RTOs run their own conversions once they've seen one done. We'd rather you became a customer of the software than never got started at all. The service exists for teams who'd rather buy the outcome than learn the tool.

One unit. Three days. No charge.

It’s the fastest way to find out whether this is worth doing with the rest of your library.
