SCORM 1.2 explained

What SCORM is and why an LMS needs it.

SCORM is a standard that lets a course and a Learning Management System talk to each other, mainly to record that a learner launched and completed the course.

CourseConverter exports SCORM 1.2, the most widely supported version. Almost every LMS accepts it.

What it does and does not do

  • It reports completion and launch back to the LMS.
  • It does not require any special server on your side; the LMS hosts and runs the package.
