Switching from Articulate Rise? You can now import your courses in one click

June 20, 2026

If you''ve spent hours — or weeks — building courses in Articulate Rise, the idea of moving to another tool usually comes with a sinking feeling: do I have to rebuild everything from scratch?

Not anymore. CourseConverter can now import an Articulate Rise course directly. Export your course as SCORM, upload the file, and we rebuild it as a fully editable CourseConverter course — modules, text, images, and most of your interactive blocks included.

Why we built this

Rise is a genuinely good tool. But a lot of people outgrow its pricing, want monthly billing instead of an annual lock-in, or simply want more control over their content and exports. The single biggest thing stopping them from switching has always been the same: the work already trapped inside their existing courses.

So we made importing that work a one-click job.

What comes across

Most of a typical Rise course converts straight into native CourseConverter blocks:

  • Text and headings — including bold, italics, and links.
  • Images — every image is pulled in and added to your media library.
  • Tabs, accordions, and process blocks — your Rise interactions become the equivalent CourseConverter blocks.
  • Structure — each Rise lesson becomes a module, in the original order.

A few things don''t have a direct equivalent, so they come in as clearly-marked placeholders you can complete: videos (drop in your own embed), labelled graphics (re-create as text or an accordion), and quizzes (rebuild as a knowledge check, or generate one with AI). They show up as highlighted callouts in the imported course, so they''re easy to find. Everything is editable once it lands.

How to do it

1. Export from Rise as SCORM. In Rise: Export → SCORM → SCORM 1.2, then download the .zip. Leave it zipped.

2. Import into CourseConverter. From your dashboard: New course → Import from Articulate Rise, upload the .zip, review the summary (modules, images, and any placeholders), tweak the titles, and click Create course.

That''s it. Your course opens in the editor, ready to refine, re-brand, and export to SCORM, HTML, or Word whenever you like.

The honest part

This importer is built specifically for Articulate Rise SCORM exports. Rise stores its content in a way we can read cleanly, which is what makes a high-fidelity import possible. Other tools — Storyline, Captivate, and the rest — store content very differently, so they aren''t supported yet. We''d rather do one thing properly than half a dozen things badly.

Importing from Rise is a Pro feature. If you''re evaluating a move, it''s the fastest way to see your real content inside CourseConverter — no rebuilding required.
