Affiliate Program Terms
Last updated: 19 June 2026
These Affiliate Program Terms ("Affiliate Terms") govern your participation in the CourseConverter affiliate program (the "Program"), operated by Leigh Burke, a sole trader trading as CourseConverter ("CourseConverter", "we", "us", or "our"), based in Victoria, Australia. By joining the Program or promoting CourseConverter using an affiliate link, you ("you" or the "Affiliate") agree to these Affiliate Terms. If you do not agree, do not participate in the Program. These Affiliate Terms are in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility and joining
The Program is free to join. To participate you must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and able to enter into a binding agreement. You must provide accurate information when you sign up and keep it current. We may approve, decline, suspend, or remove any Affiliate at our discretion, including where we reasonably believe these Affiliate Terms have been breached.
Affiliate sign-up, link generation, tracking, and payouts are administered through a third-party affiliate-management platform. Your use of that platform is also subject to that provider's own terms.
2. Commission
You earn 30% recurring commission. When a new customer subscribes to a paid CourseConverter plan through your affiliate link, you earn 30% of the subscription payments they make, for the lifetime of that customer's active paid subscription.
"Lifetime" means for as long as the referred customer remains a paying subscriber. Commission is earned on each successful subscription payment as it is made. Commission applies to subscription fees only and does not apply to taxes, or to any amount refunded, reversed, or not actually collected.
3. Referral tracking and attribution
Referrals are tracked using your unique affiliate link and a tracking cookie set when a visitor clicks it. A referral is attributed to you if the customer subscribes within the tracking window applied by the affiliate-management platform. Attribution is determined by that platform, and we rely on its records to calculate commission.
Self-referrals are not permitted — you may not earn commission on your own subscription or on accounts you control. Where more than one Affiliate may have been involved, attribution follows the platform's standard last-click rules.
4. Payouts
Commissions are paid through the affiliate-management platform, typically via PayPal or Wise, on a monthly basis once your confirmed balance meets the platform's minimum payout threshold. You are responsible for providing accurate payout details.
You are solely responsible for any taxes payable on commissions you earn, and for any tax registration or reporting obligations that apply to you in your jurisdiction. Commissions are paid exclusive of any such taxes.
5. Refunds, chargebacks, and cancellations
Commission is only earned on payments that are successfully collected and retained. If a referred payment is later refunded, charged back, disputed, or found to be fraudulent, the associated commission will be reversed or deducted from your balance. If a referred customer cancels or their subscription lapses, recurring commission for that customer stops with their final paid period.
6. How you may promote
You agree not to:
- Send spam or unsolicited bulk messages, or promote CourseConverter in any way that breaches anti-spam or marketing laws;
- Make false, misleading, or exaggerated claims about CourseConverter, its features, pricing, or results;
- Bid on CourseConverter brand terms, or confusingly similar terms, in paid search or other paid advertising;
- Use cookie stuffing, forced clicks, fake or incentivised sign-ups, or any other deceptive method to generate referrals;
- Register referrals for yourself or accounts you control, or otherwise manipulate tracking;
- Represent yourself as an employee, agent, or partner of CourseConverter beyond describing yourself as an "affiliate", or imply endorsement or a relationship that does not exist;
- Promote CourseConverter on sites or alongside content that is unlawful, infringing, or that sexualises or endangers minors.
Breach of this section may result in removal from the Program and forfeiture of unpaid commission.
7. Use of our brand
While you are an active Affiliate, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the CourseConverter name and logo solely to promote the Service in line with these Affiliate Terms and any brand guidelines we provide. You must not alter our logo, use our branding in a misleading way, or register domains, social handles, or trademarks incorporating our name. This licence ends when your participation in the Program ends.
8. Relationship of the parties
Participation in the Program does not create an employment, agency, partnership, or joint-venture relationship between you and CourseConverter. You are an independent party and have no authority to bind us or to make representations or commitments on our behalf.
9. Termination
Either party may end your participation in the Program at any time, for any reason. On termination, any validly earned and confirmed commission that meets the payout threshold will be paid in the ordinary course. We may withhold or cancel commission where we reasonably believe it arose from a breach of these Affiliate Terms, fraud, or prohibited conduct. Sections relating to commission reversal, taxes, brand use, and liability survive termination.
10. Changes to the Program
We may change these Affiliate Terms, the commission rate, the tracking window, or any other aspect of the Program at any time. Where changes are material, we will give reasonable notice — for example by email or through the affiliate-management platform. Changes do not apply retroactively to commission already earned. Your continued participation after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Affiliate Terms.
11. Disclaimer and liability
The Program is provided "as is". We do not guarantee any level of earnings, traffic, or conversions, and nothing in these Affiliate Terms should be read as a promise of income. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the Program is limited to the total commission paid or payable to you in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Affiliate Terms excludes or limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Governing law
These Affiliate Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
